Built for the office of Oyler Wu Collaborative, this project consists of a modular shelving system with two translucent sliding panels that run along the face of the system. The shelving system is made of 5/16" thick aluminum flat bar and 3/4" birch plywood, while the sliding panels are made of translucent molded PETG plastic set in aluminum frame. The sliding panels were fabricated by vacuum forming over CNC milled MDF molds. The highly articulated striations in the panels, along with the translucency of the material, obscure the stored materials behind them while still allowing for color and variation.
